Saint Peter’s church was the first Catholic church in the city of Milwaukee. Built downtown in 1839 on State and Juneau Streets, the small building was relocated throughout Milwaukee over the years. It rested on the grounds of Saint Francis Seminary from 1939 to 1975, until it was donated to Old World Wisconsin by the Archdiocese. I took these pictures of the simple church on a recent visit to Old World Wisconsin.
