Through The Purple Door
An after lunch stroll with a friend led us to Historic Walker’s Point this afternoon. Often called “Milwaukee’s warehouse district,” this is definitely a city niche for locals to explore. Intriguing shops, restaurants and cafes, all set into old Cream City Brick warehouses, line the street. One place in particular fit the bill for what we were in search of: dessert, more specifically, ice cream. Mission accomplished. If you’re interested in top notch ice cream this summer (and who isn’t at some point?) you could do no better than pop into The Purple Door. I tried out the Juniper Lime and Lemon Sorbet (amazing) while my friend tried the daily sundae, called the Bananas Foster, with banana ice cream and salted caramel. In other words, a stressful afternoon.
