If you were concerned about being found on Facebook via their search bar – see above – and previously hid from searches by using the “Who can search for me by name?” privacy setting, be aware, Facebook has just quietly eliminated that privacy option all together. This means anyone can find you on Facebook by name now. Make sure everything else is locked down, like your profile, pictures, etc. This is particularly concerning for people hoping to avoid an abusive ex or the like.
