There has been an impressive explosion of new cafes and restaurants in East Tosa, making it an increasingly popular strip in the city. Five years ago, there wasn’t much to talk about in terms of places to go here, but fortunately a cadre of investors with some vision saw the potential for this area. Now, locals have a diverse selection of places to go, from Juniper 61 to Belair Cantina and Hue Vietnamese CuisineRocket Baby Bakery is another spot worth checking out. It’s a classy little cafe with a cheery interior, serving “artisan products made fresh daily.” From its website:

We create all of our goods daily from scratch, using local sources to the greatest extent practical. We produce a growing range of artisanal breads and pastries, including a variety of naturally leavened hearth breads, baguettes and other yeasted breads.

In serious need of coffee after a workout this morning, I took a short walk to Rocket Baby Bakery. Well, I was very pleased. I kept it basic: a cappuccino and raspberry danish. They were delicious. I’ve been told their breads are amazing as well.
