    Fr. Javier was charming and insightful regarding the challenges facing Catholics in today’s culture. That said, he seemed to misjudge the amount of time he had to communicate everything he wanted to, and as a result the overall lecture was somewhat underwhelming. Specifically, he did not give many concrete suggestions for living the Catholic faith in light of the specific challenges which he described so well.

      I am looking forward to future offerings from the new Center for Catholic Culture. The fact that tonight’s lecture attracted a crowd of nearly 100 people is a clear sign that Catholics in the Archdiocese are eager to learn!
