    Thank you, Jake, for taking the time to sit down with Father Altman, a wonderful, holy priest. It is refreshing to hear such truth spoken in love, especially about the problems that the faithful face in this time. “When the truth resonates with the faithful. . .” We continue to pray for him and his priesthood.

    We are hungry. . .and those of us who are being fed by an emerging group of priests who are concerned about the eternal souls of their flock are eternally thankful for these good men who answered God’s call to be priests. Our local parish priests have incorporated more orthodox and traditional liturgies, Ad Orientem Masses, incense, singing and even chanting of the Mass which lends a transcendence that is unerringly beautiful, the return of sacred music and sacred art, proper reverence for the Holy Eucharist, Adoration (even Perpetual in the works), regular daily Confession, and the faithful have responded.

    We are blessed with the good fruit that has been cultivated out of the hard and messy work of the few that have always believed that the Mass is the source and summit of the faith. May God bless Father Altman and Cream City Catholic.

    Thank you, Jake, and Cream City Catholic for this excellent window into a rare and holy priest! Apt that you publish this during Advent, because he truly is a “voice of one calling out in the wilderness!” Previous interviews with Fr. Altman that I’ve seen are about him, but not about what and how he thinks. Your, as always, intense and direct questions allow him to get right to expressing his oh-so-clear perspective on the problems plaguing contemporary Catholics and the spiritual cancer that is their source: the errors of Russia (cough…communism…cough). The destruction of Catholic education and Catholic women religious orders, the doctrinal and sexual perversion of the seminaries and thus liturgy and preaching, the cowardice of Catholic media like Relevant Radio, the societal desecration of femininity and motherhood … Our Lady warned about all of it more than 100 years ago, and yet, here we are. Somehow though–via his joyful boyish demeanor and unrestrained love for Christ and His Church–despite all the doom and gloom, Fr. Altman gives hope! There’s A LOT of darkness out there, but there always has been. Thank God we have priests like Fr. Altman to help lead us through this present darkness to the Light of the world!
