You’ll find the good and the bad in antique stores, from cool, vintage furniture and art to strange, musty smelling clothes you’d expect to find in a suitcase in your great-aunt’s attic. True, there’s also a lot of bric-a-brac, but meandering through large antique shops can be fun, and you never know what you’ll stumble upon. So where to go exploring in Milwaukee? There are two large antique shops in Walker’s Point that you might want to check out.

Antique Center, on the corner of Second Street and Washington, has been around for 36 years and is the oldest antique store in Milwaukee. Here’s a look inside.

The other shop, Antiques on Second, is nearby but will soon move to a larger building just a short distance from its present location. They have an excellent collection of old prints of Milwaukee buildings: homes, churches, etc.
